This Privacy Policy describes how Earthquake Games ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the "Would You Rather - Game" mobile application (the "App").
Anonymous Identifier. When you first open the App, we create an anonymous account using Firebase Authentication. This generates a random user ID that is not linked to your name, email, or any personal information. We use this ID to save your votes, purchases, and game progress.
Usage Data. We collect anonymous analytics data through Firebase Analytics, including which features you use, questions answered, and general app interaction patterns. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Advertising Data. If you are on the free tier, the App may display ads. Our advertising partners may collect device identifiers (such as the IDFA on iOS) to serve relevant ads, but only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline tracking, only non-personalised ads are shown.
Purchase Information. In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed, which we store to unlock the corresponding content.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the following categories of service providers:
Your anonymous user data (votes, purchases, rewards) is retained as long as your account exists. Since accounts are anonymous, there is no way for us to identify which data belongs to a specific person. If you delete the App, your local data is removed from your device. Server-side data associated with your anonymous ID is retained for service continuity.
The App is rated 17+ on the App Store due to the availability of adult content (which requires a separate purchase and age verification). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 17. The adult content tier is gated behind a date-of-birth verification screen.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Users in Brazil are entitled to the rights provided by the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD, Lei n.º 13.709/2018), including confirmation of data processing, access to your data, correction, anonymisation, deletion, and portability. Since we only store anonymous identifiers, we cannot identify your specific data without your device's anonymous user ID. To exercise your rights, contact us at the email below with your anonymous user ID (available in the App's Settings screen).
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase security rules that restrict data access to authenticated users, and Firestore rules that scope user data to individual anonymous accounts.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
